Flights and ferries: how to reach the Hotel Mistral, island of Elba

How to get to Hotel Mistral:

From the North of Italy: from Milano take the A1 motorway, change to the A15 at Parma Ovest to join the A12 Genova-Livorno exit later at Rosignano. Continue on dual-carriageway as far as right-hand sign to ” Venturina/Isola d’Elba”. Continue on the main road until you reach Piombino Marittima/Portoferraio.

From the North -East:Take the A1 motorway Bologna-Firenze-Pisa-Livorno exit later at Rosignano and continue as above.Alternatively: take the S.G.C. (not a motorway but a very good road) Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, exit at Firenze Signa and follow the main road as far as Collesalvetti. At Collesalvetti re-join the motorway and exit at Rosignano, then dual carriageway as above down to Piombino.

From the South: Take the A12 Roma-Grosseto, continue on the main road “the Aurelia”: exit at Venturina-Isola d’Elba then follow as above for Piombino.

The isle of Elba can be reached in about an hour from Piombino, to Piombino Marittima with Toremar, Moby, Elba Ferries, BlueNavy that offer comfortable ferry that hourly. The ports that you can achieve are Portoferraio (the principal) and Rio Marina. Alternatively, there is a hydrofoil Toremar, for passengers only, which in just 35 minutes to reach Portoferraio. When you disembark from the ferry follow the indication “ALL THE WAY”, then go straight until the third roundabout, following the sign “MARINA DI CAMPO.” On entering the village of Procchio (10 km from Portoferraio) you have to turn left at the intersection, always in the direction of Marina di Campo. You will enter Navy Field after about 5 km and you will find the hotel on your right, we are well marked.
